Interesting article on race

From the London Times, an articulation in an accessible journalistic mode of some of what we've said here in the past in a more scholarly phrasing (check out keyword "race" on the right if you've missed those posts).

[thanks to the spouse, with whom I've had many a conversation about race and medicine]

Doh. An almost a brilliant demolition of essentialism falls at the final fence. Maybe there is some evidence that racial prejudice is natural, but if there is we need to be told what it is. If I see the word "natural" used without any additional explanation I get very suspicious..
